This product was inspired by the October season and my love of all things spooky. Cryptid Cocktails is a fictional canned cocktail brand created for my packaging design class. This brand blends cryptid folklore with the playful spirit of Halloween. The packaging features digitally hand-drawn backgrounds and a custom illustrated logo, created in Procreate. The handmade typography adds to the brand’s distinctive personality. Using Canva, I developed the labels and supporting typography, then created brand lore, flavor descriptions, and tasting notes to bring the concept to life and make the brand feel authentic. To bring the designs off the screen, I printed the labels and applied them to aluminum cans. The finished products presented a cohesive, convincing brand identity that was mistaken for a real product by viewers. Through this project, I also gained practical experience with print production and learned the importance of using CMYK color settings to achieve accurate printed colors.
